Disassembly and Closing Day 2011

The days are growing shorter and frost is on the pumpkin. Sandhill's closing day will be Friday, November 25, 2011, ending a very good year.

Members are asked to come out and help disassemble aircraft, as well as prepare the hangar for winter activities.

Opening Weekend 2010

Weather and field conditions permitting, the last weekend in March will be opening weekend and assembly day. There will be no shortage of projects and tasks to help with, so don’t miss it!

Pre-Opening Day

For Sandhill members, pre-opening day activities will be taking place at the field on Saturday, March 20th:

  • Finish assembly and minor repair of the Lark and other aircraft.
  • Our IA will perform annual inspections on the Lark, and other the other ships in preparation for opening day.

September Club Meeting and Picnic

The September Member Meeting will be held on Saturday, September 19, noon-1:00 pm, at beautiful Richmond Field.

Plan to come for hot dogs, burgers, and other goodies – and feel free to bring your own snacks, deserts or whatever to pass.

We’ll take advantage of the (hopefully) delightful fall weather for some flying, camaraderie, and a short club meeting.
