The Sandhill Soaring Club (SSC) is a cooperative, nonprofit organization that exists to provide an opportunity for its members to learn to fly gliders and to enjoy the sport of soaring at moderate cost. We have approximately 100 members. We are a chapter of the Soaring Society of America (SSA). SSC conducts flight operations out of Richmond Field (69G) located at Gregory, Michigan. Guest Flights / Introductory Flights
When: any day with flight operations, subject to availability of glider and commercial pilot Where: Richmond Field - Gregory, Michigan (Directions) Glider: one of the club's two seaters A typical demonstration flight last about 20 minutes: $60 with our standard glider fleet $80 with our high performance glider $30 for winch ( typical shorter flight duration) Longer flights are possible depending on weather and personal capacity. They will be charged with additional $5.00 per 10 minutes."
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates for guest flights are available directly at the airfield on weekends during the season. You may email Orrin Beckham to obtain a gift certificate by mail.
Membership
